Textual Analysis for a contents page- Kerrang
The contents page has a selection of five photo's on. The main photo is of a band, is a mid shot. They are all pulling cheeky faces which adds a sense of fun to the contents page, which makes it more interesting. They are all pictures are all of males and of a specific group of people which will attract the target audience for this magazine. There is a column of writing which is split up into subheadings, telling you what there is in this issue of Kerrang. The subheadings are red so that they stand out. Each section is numbered so that you can easily find the section you are looking for. The editors letter is written as a block of text in small writing this is so it doesn't take the attention off the main features. 'CONTENTS' which is written in the right hand top corner, is written in the same font as 'KERRANG' is on the front page. This is to keep the theme the same throughout the magazine. The colour scheme is is simple but bold so that everything stands out. There is an advertisement to get yo to subscribe for 'KERRANG' which promotes an offer. This will make the reader think that 'KERRANG' is being good to it's customers.
