The colours used for the cover lines are bright and clashing. This makes the magazine look young and quirky. The masthead is written in lower case and upper case letters, it looks like it has been stamped on. It is very bold and draws you attention. This is because the background is black and this is written on white. The banner at the bottom of the cover is also bold and makes you want to look inside.
